Summary

Arctiq provided DevOps Enablement Methodology (DEM) services for the client’s target platform solution. The focus was to enable developers on the platform and to reduce the burden in their experience.

Goals Acheived

The aim was to promote DevOps best practices to allow for an adoption that can sustain and scale in an enterprise setting with multiple stakeholders. The primary goal of the engagement was to help the client with their current integrations with existing technologies. The aim was to ease the adoption for developers and simplify the management overhead of the platform.

Challenge

The client had adoption challenges on their container platform on OpenShift, which were delaying their deployments and release cycles. There were a few key challenges that needed to be addressed:

  • No DevSecOps pipeline
  • No embedded security and testing
  • No deployment strategy for SDLC

Solution

Arctiq helped the client to create a DevSecOps pipeline, using Jenkins for their software development lifecycle. This solution addressed a few of their challenges by:

  • Embedding their tooling in the pipeline to provide capabilities back to developers for security fitness, continuous deployment, and QA automation
  • Creating modules and a pipeline archetype that became part of the documentation and on-boarding for a rapid starter kit

Results

Formulating and executing a deployment strategy that strengthens the application resilience

Embedding sophisticated security and testing strategies in the pipeline
