The Customer has made substantial investments in crucial strategic tools to propel their Digital Transformation forward. Their emphasis encompasses domains like cloud-based applications, sophisticated analytics, and agile methodologies—all with the objective of elevating the customer experience. By centralizing their attention on customers and according high priority to these tools and process enhancements, their goal was to establish a contemporary and streamlined operation. This would result in accelerated approval of claims, digital submission of claims, and automated payment processes, ultimately ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for their clientele.

Goals Achieved

The Customer now has a successfully established and thoroughly validated strategy and a clear pathway to streamlining their DevOps automation journey through the utilization of Terraform for Infrastructure as Code. Arctiq built self service toolsets to facilitate consistent operations and created GitHub Actions to assist customers in seamlessly integrating their existing supported tools into automated and repetitive processes. This engagement helped the customer optimize their development practices, infrastructure and cost management, ultimately leading to improved developer productivity, streamlined operations, and enhanced financial governance.

Challenge

The objective was to enhance various facets of the development process, cloud infrastructure, and cost management on behalf of the customer. This encompassed improving the developer experience, streamlining code development practices, enhancing security measures, optimizing Kubernetes and Cloud Catalogs, and refining the charge-back model to provide clearer visibility into costs.

Solution

To help the Customer improve the quality and consistency of code changes, Arctiq built an end-to-end automated testing and release framework. Testing all of the Customers officially supported Kubernetes services against current and future versions of Kubernetes whenever pull requests are made for any service.

The project encompassed a variety of activities to boost efficiency, visibility, and control in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and cloud operations. The key focuses were:

  • Enhancing SRE and Cloud Operating Models.
  • Managing AKS workloads and upgrading Kubernetes.
  • Implementing operational excellence patterns for observability and triage.
  • Creating a self-service Terraform pipeline.
  • Improving pipelines for developers and overall developer experience.
  • Advancing plan and deployment of infrastructure.
