Arctiq is excited to announce its sponsorship of the 9th annual Conference on Diversity in Engineering (CDE) in 2023, organized by the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) at the University of Waterloo. This four-day conference, scheduled from November 17th to 20th, will bring together more than 200 student leaders from universities across Canada, and will highlight work from across the country to support equity, diversity and inclusion in engineering and empower students to create change in their own communities.
Under the theme "Feel Safe, Take Up Space," this year's conference aims to provide delegates with a safe space for introspection and storytelling and to create a nurturing environment where students can freely express themselves, share their experiences, and gain new insights to drive positive change within their respective communities. This event will help facilitate meaningful discussions and empower students to return to their universities armed with knowledge and the drive to foster equitable, diverse, and inclusive spaces in engineering.
